Improvements Discussed at MfM Western Meeting

Consulting group holds its western bureau members meeting in Knoxville

OMAHA, Neb. — Prestige Cleaners of Knoxville, Tenn., hosted a two-day meeting by consulting group Methods for Management (MfM) of its western bureau members, it says.

MfM’s drycleaning members from the western part the U.S. and Canada met to promote continual improvements in the industry and discuss the achievements and challenges of each company, it notes.

During this meeting, MfM members examined extensive financial and key performance analysis within their businesses, including group average performances and benchmarks.

MfM states: “Best practices were shared, including the latest marketing and advertising efforts of each company. Each member contributed a presentation of their 2019 corporate and personal goals and their roadmaps for achievement.”

The members conducted a thorough plant critique for Prestige Cleaners, the consulting firm describes, with both praise and suggestions for improvement and innovation to continue to provide the highest quality service for their clients.

The group also enjoyed camaraderie and laughter over excellent food and wine in Knoxville.

Prestige Cleaners, MfM describes, “Has been a local leader in dry cleaning for Knoxville since 1985. Prestige Cleaners has been voted best dry cleaners in Knoxville by MetroPulse readers, has been recognized for outstanding plant design by their industry,” it adds.

Methods for Management, an international consulting group, facilitated by Kermit Engh, provides membership to who it describes as, “Elite dry cleaners who wish to further their expertise and improve their business through shared industry knowledge, local community action, higher productivity and efficiency, and training for excellent quality in garment care and customer service.”

Engh has been an owner in the drycleaning industry for over 27 years, a member of MfM for over 23 years, the president of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists for 12 years, a member of DLI and LCI, and winner of numerous industry awards, it adds.
