ATLANTA — Hotel reservations open Aug. 8 for the 2009 Clean Show, which is slated for June 18-21, 2009, at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
Special rates are available at 18 New Orleans hotels, all easily accessible to the French Quarter and Harrah’s casino, and all within 1.5 miles of the convention center. Complimentary shuttle buses will transport attendees between official hotels and the convention center mornings and afternoons, with shuttle stops within walking distance of each hotel.
Each of the show’s six sponsoring associations selected a headquarts hotel for its organization. The Association for Linen Management (ALM) selected the Omni Royal Orleans, the Coin Laundry Association (CLA) chose the Astor Crowne Plaza, the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) chose Hotel Monteleone, the Textile Care Allied Trades Association (TCATA) chose the Hilton Riverside, the Textile Rental Services Association (TRSA) chose the New Orleans Sheraton, and the Uniform & Textile Service Association (UTSA) chose the New Orleans Marriott.
In addition to the headquarters hotels, 12 other properties will provide general housing accommodations for Clean Show attendees: the Country Inn & Suites, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn Convention Center, Holiday Inn French Quarter, Iberville Suites at Ritz-Carlton, International House, Loews, Residence Inn, The Ritz-Carlton, Royal Sonesta, St. Christopher Best Western and the W hotel. A 19th hotel will be announced in the fall, according to Riddle & Associates, the show’s longtime management firm.
“New Orleans hotels are refurbished, fresh and better than ever,” says John Riddle, president of Riddle & Associates. “I think people will be very pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the city looks, particularly in the French Quarter, the Central Business District and the Arts/Warehouse District adjacent to the convention center.”
Detailed information about each hotel will be available Aug. 8 at the Clean ’09 website, www.cleanshow.com. Rates for single and double rooms range from $99 to $189. To receive Clean ’09 discounts, reservations must be made through the Housing Bureau at the website, by calling 800-424-5250 or 847-940-2153, by faxing 800-521-6017 or 847-940-2386, or by mailing Clean ’09 Housing Bureau, c/o Experient, 568 Atrium Dr., Vernon Hills, IL 60061-1731. The only exception is the Hotel Monteleone, for which reservations should be made directly by calling 800-535-9595 or 504-523-3341. When making any reservation, identify the hotel and sponsor block in which you wish to be included.
The deadline for hotel reservations is May 15, 2009, but making reservations early offers the best opportunity to be confirmed at a preferred hotel. Information about suites is available through the Housing Bureau. A $150 deposit per room is required to confirm a reservation. The Housing Bureau accepts checks and money orders (drawn in U.S. funds on a U.S. bank), as well as major credit cards. Deposits are not refundable for cancellations made after May 15.
