Holding Group Acquires Four Boston-Area Lapels Stores

Says deal only start of Beantown development pursuits

HANOVER, Mass. — Mansfield Holding Group LLC, Worcester, Mass., recently acquired four Lapels Dry Cleaning stores and created Mansfield Cleaning Solutions LLC as a result, according to the companies.

The stores are located in Boston’s West End, Cambridge, Natick and Needham.

“With its environmentally friendly drycleaning methods and operations, Lapels Dry Cleaning is not only the future of dry cleaning but is very much part of the present and we’re thrilled to be a part of it,” says Richard Domaleski, principal of Mansfield Holdings. “These four locations are really just the start as we look for additional development opportunities for Lapels Dry Cleaning locations throughout Boston and the MetroWest city areas.”

Domaleski is the former CEO of World Energy Solutions, which he founded. He is a recognized expert in energy markets, with World Energy winning numerous honors, including a GSA Environmental Award for greening the Statue of Liberty. World Energy has transacted more than $1 billion in green commodities.

“Lapels is an organization that prides itself on greener practices in everything we do. Having someone with Richard’s credentials buy into what you’re doing is extremely gratifying,” says Kevin Dubois, CEO of Lapels Dry Cleaning Inc. “We’re very happy to have Mansfield Holdings on board and can’t wait to see what they do with these locations and other areas the group pursues.”

The holding company’s acquisition became official on April 30. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
