Fulton Breaks Ground on Addition

PULASKI, N.Y. — Fulton, a leading manufacturer of boilers and thermal fluid heaters, recently broke ground on a 112,000-sq.-ft. addition to its manufacturing plant and corporate headquarters. The addition will effectively triple the building’s footprint, the company says, and help it meet expanding production demands.
Fulton plans to use the new space to increase its manufacturing capabilities for existing product lines, as well as focus on the continual development of new products and technologies. Once completed, the building will house an additional 82,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing capacity, a 10,000-sq.-ft. research-and-development center, and a 20,000-sq.-ft. corporate office center.
The company will add staff and concentrate on improving efficiencies throughout the design and manufacturing process when the addition opens. For instance, the new production floor will feature increased crane capacity to permit the production of larger boilers and heating systems.
Fulton says its new corporate offices will feature an industrial aesthetic, and facilitate plant tours, boiler training and product demonstrations. Funded in part by a $1.5 million grant from New York’s Upstate Regional Blueprint Fund, the expansion project is scheduled to be completed in May 2011.
