MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — As a member of the Textile Care & Allied Trades Association (TCATA) since 1969, Forenta was honored at the TCATA conference this past year for its 50th anniversary as a member of the association, the company writes.
“To even be part of an organization filled with such special people is quite an honor, but to be part of it for 50 years is an awesome accomplishment,” says Rusty Smith, Forenta president and partner.
It’s not only a testament to the employees of Forenta, but also to the companies that make up the TCATA membership. I’m extremely proud to accept this recognition on behalf of the folks at Forenta.” says Smith.
For Smith, whose has been with the company for 32 of those 50 years, the recognition from industry peers was incredibly special, he notes.
Since its first year of membership in 1969, Forenta says, it has been much more than a sideline member of TCATA. There have been two past Forenta presidents, Bill North and Lee White, who have served as committee chairmen.
“In addition, Smith, the current Forenta president, served on the business program committee for the 2019 annual conference,” the company notes.
“With an alliance that has now spanned a half century, Forenta and TCATA can truly claim the title of partners in the textile care industry,” it adds.
Forenta explains it has been manufacturing equipment in its facility since 1961. In the 1970s, Forenta writes, it diversified its product line by offering other products for the laundry and drycleaning industry.
