LONG BEACH, Calif. — The California Cleaners Association announces speakers for its programs at Fabricare 2018 which will be held at the Long Beach Convention Center Aug. 17-19.
Friday, Aug. 17, has been designated Management Leadership Day with three speakers slated to speak on related topics, it says.
Krista-Clive Smith will begin the day’s program at 10 a.m., with a talk titled, Get Noticed. Be Remembered. She will cover brand recognition and strategies for success.
From noon to 1 p.m., Riaz Chauthani will discuss business valuation and preparing for business succession. Lunch will be served.
Brian Rashid will conclude the program, speaking on Smart Social Media Marketing. He’ll tell how to do digital marketing on a shoestring budget.
The cost for the Friday program is $160 for CCA members and $250 for non-members. Lunch is included as part of the program.
The regular Fabricare 2018 seminars will get underway on Saturday morning, the show host relates, leading off with Chris Moreno at 9:30 a.m. He will discuss how to maximize revenue streams by adding wash, dry and fold services.
A critical update on California human resources and employment issues will be presented by Jibit Cinar at 10:30 a.m. She will discuss the latest news on sexual harassment in the workplace, the association notes.
The exhibit hall will be open to the general public from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19.
There will be shirt and pants finishing clinics on the show floor during the weekend.
Sunday’s program begins at 10 a.m. with Kyle Nesbit of MW Cleaners who will speak on marketing for profit. He will be followed at 11 a.m. by Jim Groshans, the Fabricare Coach, addressing a team approach to building customer service excellence.
The Saturday and Sunday programs are open to all CCA members, it indicates, at no charge. For non-members, they are covered in the full registration fee of $55 if paid by Aug. 1; the price increases to $75 thereafter.
Single-day registration for the Saturday or Sunday programs is available for $40.
Those who want to make reservations at one of the event’s host hotels have a pair of options: the Renaissance Long Beach and the Hyatt Regency.
The Renaissance Long Beach will be CCA’s host hotel. It is located across the street from the convention center. The association has secured a block of rooms at the rate of $189 per night. Call (562) 437-5900to make reservations.
A small block of rooms is also available at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach, located adjacent to the convention center. The special show discount rate is $219 per night.
