DLI Webinar Series Returns for June

Weekly events offer continuing education to members

LAUREL, Md. — Cleaners who continue to advance their education, training and practices will be those best suited to take advantage of increased business as society continues to emerge from the pandemic. It’s in this mindset that the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) has announced the dates and topics for its next four webinars for June, along with other networking opportunities.

“As business improves, members are busier and have less time to spend online,” says Mary Scalco, DLI’s CEO. “Our goal, as always, is to give members more value than the cost of membership. DLI will continue sharing educational and networking opportunities on a weekly basis. We are focused on helping members communicate and grow.”

June 2021 Webinar Schedule

DLI will present the following webinars in June. All presentations go live at 1 p.m. Eastern:

  • Wednesday, June 9 — “Drycleaning Machine Maintenance,” with Lou D’Autorio of Skylou Mechanical

  • Wednesday, June 16 — “How Much Environmental Cleanup Will Your Insurance Actually Pay For?” with EnviroForensics

  • Wednesday, June 23 — “Tips and Tricks for Using Indeed to Hire,” with Brian Fish of Pier Cleaners and Amy Wischmann of Benzinger Clothing Care

  • Wednesday, June 30 — “Customer Service,” featuring Jennifer Marquardt with The Route Pros

For those who cannot attend live, DLI will add these recordings to the archive in its on-demand video library, which contains nearly 100 videos on various topics of interest to dry cleaners.

Peer-to-Peer Zoom Calls

For DLI members, weekly peer-to-peer meetings via Zoom will be held Tuesdays at 10 a.m. starting on June 1.

“Members hear how other cleaning business professionals are adapting to the current business climate, share ideas, get answers to questions, and even just vent,” Scalco says. “DLI’s doors are always open. All drycleaning professionals are invited to join DLI and participate in our programs and events.”
