SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — Alex’s Dry Cleaning Valet in San Rafael, Calif., is supporting the Delancey Street Foundation and its efforts to help substance abusers, ex-convicts, the homeless and others who have hit bottom to learn marketable skills and secure jobs. Alex’s weekly donations of drycleaning services help Delancey’s clients maintain a professional appearance during their job searches and as they enter the work force.
“Alex’s Dry Cleaning Valet is proud to support Delancey Street Foundation and its critical work,” says Alex Najafi, founder and CEO of Alex’s Dry Cleaning Valet. “The efforts of organizations such as Delancey Street Foundation are particularly crucial in these tough economic times.”
For more than 36 years, the San Francisco-based Delancey Street Foundation has graduated thousands of men and women who are now functioning successfully in society in occupations such as sales, dentistry, engineering, accounting and law. The nonprofit organization receives no tax dollars and charges no fees to its clients.
“As a small, Bay Area business, we believe strongly in supporting our communities and the organizations that make our neighborhoods vibrant places in which to live and work,” Najafi says.
