SUMMARY Directs and manages all Dry Cleaning operations with responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Direct and manage department operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping of the finished product to the stores.
Coordinate Department activities through planning with department Supervisors and Team Leaders to ensure the total objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Establish and monitor overall department performance for production and quality standards.
Control and minimize labor overtime, equipment repair expenses, and equipment utility costs.
Maintain existing department and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to department equipment when necessary.
Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
Provides direction, development, and leadership to the department supervisors and team leaders.
Follows all safety rules and regulations. Maintains a safe work environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Department supervisors, Team Leaders, Spotter and Dry Cleaners.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
