CD One Price Cleaners is looking for an experienced professional to lead the company’s strategic development, initial testing and evaluation of new product and service initiatives for the CD One Price Cleaners brand at our Hopkins, MN company store location and throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul market.   This is an exciting new position and we are seeking an innovative individual with the skills to assume a leadership role at the store and within our organization.  You will have day-to-day responsibility for managing the Hopkins store, while launching new initiatives including our wash and fold personal laundry service and a new residential pickup and delivery program as part of our push to meet the surging interest in convenience driven services in 2019.

You will interact with various groups at the corporate office including the innovations team, field support group and most importantly, the store associate team in Hopkins to roll out and test new initiatives.In this position, the Manager of Market Development will be responsible for the overall financial and customer service performance of the company operated CD One Price Cleaners store in Hopkins, managing the Production Manager and two Assistant Managers.  More importantly, you will be the primary implementer of new initiatives, leading your team to embrace a culture of innovation. 

Key Role:

The Manager of Market Development position will be responsible for the operations of the existing store while preparing two rollout the new pickup and delivery program along with testing other new products and services that will lead to further growth in the twin cities and new markets.   Our current core business proposition is simple, and our execution is unique--we attract customers with a strong value proposition-- a dramatic savings in dry cleaning and laundry pricing--and a highly efficient operating environment with state-of-the art equipment that allows us to clean and press a significantly higher number of garments each day than traditional cleaners.  However, our future lies outside the store with residential pickup and delivery with a focus on residents interested in “outsourcing” their laundry to free up another undesirable chore.  This laundry wash and fold program is gaining great traction at our current with retail stores and now we are preparing to make the service even more convenient.

Company Overview:  CD One Price Cleaners is a privately held, 36 store chain of dry cleaning and laundry “superstores” based in Chicago with one company operate store in the Minneapolis market in Hopkins, one store in St. Louis and the remaining stores in the Chicago area.  Our franchise system has been very successful, with seven multi-unit owners.

Major Job Functions:

Innovation and Leadership

• Testing and implementing various new product or service concepts at the Hopkins store and providing feedback.• Leading the Hopkins store management team and employees to embrace new ideas/concepts while maintaining rigorous testing protocols leading to sound data collection and feedback on test results.• Fostering a creative environment to launch the new pickup and delivery model in 2019. • Balancing healthy relationships with store teams, customers, outside vendors and various corporate office support staff.• A high attention to detail is required.

Qualifications:

• District Manager Experience.  Minimum of 2 years of previous experience with another retailer or food service organization at a District Manager level overseeing multiple stores with store level P&L responsibility.Dry cleaning and laundery experience preferred but not required.• Leadership. A proven track record of leadership and the ability to effectively hire, direct and develop store level personnel.• Operational Experience.  The ability to learn the CD One Price Cleaners store operations model and the analytical skills to evaluate operating results and make adjustments accordingly.• New Product/Service Testing/Rollout.  We are seeking individuals who are “change agents” who have been involved on teams testing new products or services.  Project management experience a plus.• Education.  4 year college degree preferred, but not required.• Computer Skills:  Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
