Maytag Commercial Laundry announced it is further reducing installation costs with a 50- to 55-lb. soft-mount washer/extractor model that fits through a standard 36-inch door opening. The smaller model offers lots of cleaning capacity and plenty of useful features for on-premise laundry, Maytag says, without the “Will it fit?” worry.
Adding to installation flexibility, the soft-mount suspension reduces the need for bolt-down, so plants can install the units above grade, helping save time. The washer is gentle enough to operate in old buildings, the company says, while the 304-grade stainless-steel cabinet is tough enough to withstand punishment. An inverter drive system helps decrease wear and tear on washer parts, Maytag adds, while furnishing high-speed extraction of more than 350 Gs to speed drying times.
Programmable water levels and an injection system provide flexible cycle options; there are 15 preprogrammed cycles and multilingual readouts. Like all Maytag Commercial washers, the soft-mount units are backed by an extensive three-year limited warranty on parts and a five-year limited warranty on the shell, drum, shaft, frame, bearings and seals.
